Have you had a chance to check out the Sony PS3 yet? I know
I'm almost 28 years old and soon to be married, but video games still excite me
(Which leads to a topic for another day: Am I part of the first generation who will
never stop playing video games?). Having not been a huge fan of Nintendo since the
originally NES (I liked the Sega Genesis versus the SNES and the PlayStation versus
the N64 and Sega Saturn) and not really caring for the X-Box, it should come as no
surprise to hear me say: "WOW"! The new X-Box left me under whelmed, especially
with their talk of basically turning the thing into a monthly service and micro
payments to buy additions to games. The PS3 has a good chance to do to the X-Box
what the PS2 did to the Dream Cast, simply wipe it out. Microsoft is gambling that
they can get enough of them sold from November until spring 2006 to gain a lead and
get the game publishers to sign on. I don't see how they can though, especially
with Sony able to spread FUD (and possibly able to back it up).

1) Create wonderful website with a title pilfered from a popular 'cult' movie.
2) Attract visitors.
3) Get shout outs from weird random
sites.
4) ??????
5) Profit!
Or, I think it
goes something like that.

Check this out... could it be the
greatest movie ever made? Decide for yourself.

Well, I said previously that Ruby and Gomez seemed fond of each other. Then they
kicked Consuela away from the main shell pile. Then Conrad ended up dead. I
finally saw the evidence that proved my suspicions. I've got at least 5 little fry
free swimming.

What's up with Jesus lovers? Growing up in Oklahoma surrounded by them, I used to
think I had a pretty good idea of what made them tick. But now they are doing
things so crazy, my head just explodes when I stop to think about it.
First lets talk about Kansas. As you probably know, some whackos are trying to get
intelligent design put into the school curriculum. Anyone with any background in
science knows that ID is simply stupid and is in no way related to science. But
apparantly it's important for the fundies to make sure that EVERYONE is taught
exactly what they believe, nothing more nothing less. I remember in my biology
classes in Oklahoma (I confess that I only went through Honors Biology I and skipped
AP Biology II) that we never even touched on evolution. I can't say for sure whether
it was because the teacher was scared of the fundies or whether she was one herself,
though from some statements she made I suspect the latter. So basically because of
these people evolution isn't being taught in most schools now.

I've got a great new diet for everyone... it's sure to help you slim down for that
upcoming event. It's the explosive diarrhea diet. For just one day of discomfort
you too can loose nearly 10 pounds. But, you probably don't want to hear about that
now do you?
Lets talk about my little Mavericks instead. They certainly know how to make my
heart stay in my throat. I don't know if I'll be able to stomach watching their
next two games. The worst of it is, if they win I will get a whole nother round of
games that will make me want to pull my hair out. Why oh why do I have to become
emotionally involved? I should stick to baseball where I can be completely
analytical. Speaking of baseball, did you see Ichiro's catch last night? Freaking amazing! I
though the play Eric Byrnes made this weekend in Oakland was good, but I think Ichiro
topped him.
Kathrine and I had a productive trip to Easy Street Records this weekend.

Time for some assorted rambling. Can you handle it?
First let me say that I am tired of hearing about steroids. You know what, I really
don't care if any of the players have used them. Sure they may enhance performance;
but tylenol, vicodin, and cortisone injections will all increase the performance of
a hurt player. You may say it's not the same thing, but it's still using a chemical
to help you do something you would otherwise be unable to do. What if it is proven
that caffeine helps someone hit, or play better defense in the NFL. Is coffee a
banned substance now? Plus there are TONS of legal supplements that you can use.
This
great post on The Juice talks about that hypocrisy. Of course you might say that
steroids are dangerous and carry health risks. If that were true, doctors wouldn't
be able to prescribe them. Of course you can abuse them and have bad side effects,
but I have a feeling taking 15 tylenol a day would also leave someone with health
problems.
