I was going to do a full set of links that only contained funny pictures. Mainly in
honor of the fact there are now some wedding pictures online here. But alas, I
couldn't find enough to make a full list. So you only get three links today.
In other news, the whole site is done, and most likely works better than before. If
you find something that warrants improvement, or something that totally doesn't work.
Let me know. I wrote over 1500 lines of code in one weekend, so there are bound to
be a few bugs in it. I just have to make sure I go back and add some comments
before I forget what it all does.

Sorry about that folks. When I got back from the wedding I found out that the spit
and duct tape was no longer capable of keeping my server running. I'm still not
sure what the root cause of it was (though I suspect either a bad memory controller
or hard disk controller). Either way, it was easier to trash the machine and start
out on the right foot with a new one. So the whole site has moved to a new server.
I got a super quiet, super low power VIA C3 box. It doesn't have a lot of
horsepower, but it will be fine for running this.
Unfortunately, there were a few issues in getting this back up. Our I would say one
major issue. My database backups were smooth, but I found out that the backup of the
actual code for the site was fubar. So I spent the entire weekend recoding the whole
app. It's 90% finished now, and almost everything seems to work. I still have a few
minor details and maintenance code to write, but nothing big. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF
ANYTHING DOESN'T WORK!

"Almost everyone I've talked to says we're going to move to Houston. What I'm
hearing is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the
hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were
underprivileged anyway, so this --this is working very well for them."

"The good news is - and it's hard for some to see it now - that out of this chaos is
going to come a fantastic Gulf Coast, like it was before. Out of the rubbles of Trent
Lott's house -- he's lost his entire house - there's going to be a fantastic house.
And I'm looking forward to sitting on the porch. (Laughter)."

Since no one emailed me about my fantasy league (there's still time, the draft
doesn't happen until Saturday). I played in another league. Our draft was last
night. So, without further adieu I bring you my fantasy team for 2005:
QB: Michael Vick, Steve McNair
RB: Shaun Alexander, Deuce McAllister, Julius Jones, Brian Westbrook, J.J.
Arrington, Najeh Davenport
WR: Chad Johnson, Nate Burleson, Roy Williams, Terry Glenn, Matt Jones, Brandon
Jones
TE: Jeremey Shockey, Alge Crumpler
K: Mike Vanderjagt
DEF: Carolina
I think I'm a little top heavy, but depending on how things work out I could have a
really good year. I'm gambling on Julius Jones and J.J. Arrington having good
years. I'm also hoping Steve McNair has a bounce back year and can be used as trade
bait. Najeh Davenport is only there as a place holder so I can pick up the backup
running back of the first starter who goes down. I'm stocked at tight end. I'm
happy with my kicker and defense.

I'm slacking again. Mainly because I got worn out this weekend. Between going out
Friday night, hiking up to Snow Lake on
Saturday, and church on Sunday (and yes, I said church); I am one tuckered
individual. Speaking of church, The Seattle PI had a story on Mars Hill
Church yesterday. Every time I read a story like that it talks about the church
being hip, relating to youth, using rock music, and other such nonsense as the reason
they are growing. Truthfully though that's bullshit. The reason they grow can be
summed up in the words of their pastor Mark Driscoll:
I don't leave a lot of things open-ended theologically. I
believe there's one God. I believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven. I believe
we're all sinners. I believe in a real hell and a real heaven. So I'm a Bible guy,
for sure.
